Fire Worm

Fire Worm es un autómata celular envuelto alrededor de una construcción que rota.

Da un CLIC dondequiera para iniciar aleatoriamente la fila de células y para utilizar el nuevo ruleset. Mueve el RATÓN HACIA O LEJOS del centro del FW para rotarlo.

FW es un sistema dinámico discreto de construcción simple pero con comportamiento inesperado y complejo. Cada bit es representado gráficamente por un cuadrado multicolor. Un reto desafiante era el aspecto de este proyecto, la potencia de cómputo requerida para llevar a cabo el calculo de cada bit de FW. Para solucionar este problema, cada bit es un Objeto Flash.

Los bits más viejos de FW eventualmente se descoloran y se quitan. Ésto debe ayudar a conservar recursos de cómputo mientras que continúa agregando nuevas filas.






The Fire Worm is a one cellular automata wrapped around a rotating construct.

CLICK anywhere to randomly initialize the cell row and use new ruleset. Move the MOUSE TOWARDS OR AWAY from the twist's center to rotate it accordingly.

The FW are discreet dynamical systems with simple construction but complex emergent behavior. The lit bit is represented graphically by a multi-color square. One particularly challenging aspect of this project was the computational power required to hold and calculate each bit of the FW. To solve this problem, each bit is its own Flash object.

Older bits of the FW eventually fade and are removed. This is to help conserve computational resources while continuing to add new rows.
